Doomsday is coming

Superman will once again face one of his most fearsome opponents, Doomsday, and this time the battle will be brought to life . . . almost.
Superman/Doomsday is the tentative title of a new animated movie, to be based loosely on the 1992-1993 Death of Superman comic book series.
According to a DC presentation at Comic-Con International, the one-hour movie will be released as a direct-to-video feature. Compared to the children's cartoon approach taken on Superman: The Animated Series and related projects, Superman/Doomsday is expected to feature an animation and story style much more similar to the comic book source material. No release date has been set.
